"We were greeted with fresh baked cookies, berries and ice cold water. Corvallis was one of the stops on our bike tour and it was a perfect place to relax after a long days journey. There were little surprises all over, like Pico, the macaw, who is very friendly and the dog is a total sweetheart. The bed was very comfortable and the room was serene and super clean and cozy. Breakfast was wonderful! Kelly is a great cook and baker. We had freshly baked bread, muffins, local fruit that was better than anything store bought (Yum!), homemade granola and coffee.  I would definitely stay here again! Thanks so much Kelly & Bob!


Wandering Inn Granola


4  cups         Old fashioned oats
1 ½ cups     Wandering Farms walnut halves, pieces
1 cup            Unsweetened coconut
½ t                Sea salt
Zest               Of 2 oranges
½ cup          Coconut oil
½ cup          Pure maple syrup




Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine oats, walnut, coconut, salt, orange zest. Melt coconut oil in microwave, add maple syrup. Heat til warm. Whisk together. Pour over other ingredients stirring to coat. Divide mixture and spread onto to baking dishes. Bake 40-50 minutes, stir and rotate pans a couple times during baking. When done, it will be a deep golden color. Store in air tight container. It keeps well. Yum!
